Safari Royale luxury tented safaris

Experience adventure and nostalgia

The Swahili word safari means journey…Safari entered the English language at the end of the 1850s thanks to British explorer Richard Francis Burton.

A luxury tented safari allows you to experience some of the adventure and nostalgia of the early explorers to Africa. These amazing tented camps offer most of the comforts of a modern day hotel room while allowing you to get close to nature in remote locations teaming with wildlife.

In 1836 William Cornwallis Harris led an expedition purely to observe and record wildlife and landscapes by the expedition’s members. Harris established the safari style of journey, starting with a not too strenuous rising at first light, an energetic day walking, an afternoon rest then concluding with a formal dinner and telling stories in the evening over drinks and tobacco.
